The Data is the Scholarship
How can a data model represent a theory of scholarly textual editing? Where in the data does textual scholarship inhere? This session seeks to explore the ways in which digital editions and other digital representations of text include recognizable and crucial elements of textual scholarship and theory as part of the essential architecture of their data: in their schemas, their data models, their relationships with other digital sources. Proposals are invited for papers that explore and interrogate this intersection from a variety of perspectives. Please send proposals of 250 words by 10 March to Julia_Flanders@brown.edu.
